Established in 2001, Changing Images is a professional photography and video
production company based in Atlanta. Our photography studio and video edit
suites can be utilized in-house while also offering services that are
transportable. We focus on taking projects from conception to completion and
welcome any creative challenge. Changing Images’ objective is to shine the
best light on your people, places and productions.
Changing Images specializes in many aspects of media production. The company
can provides producer and director capabilities, as well as professional
photographers, camera operators, and video editors. Changing Images also
works closely with a wide array of animators, graphic designers, sound
engineers, and musicians. While our expertise ranges from large format and
digital photography to HD and digital video, we customize and adapt each
project to meet and exceed your needs.
Principal Benjamin Franzen earned degrees in Photography and Communication
Studies at the University of Iowa, culminating in a large-format photography
and interactive exhibition showcasing silent era movie theaters, a project
that provided the name for his soon to emerge company. Franzen's specialty
is in providing solutions for any media need that comes his way, from the
production of interactive web videos for the National Library of Medicine’s
“Diabetes Project” to editing the animated television show Squidbillies for
Cartoon Network. Franzen's production company has created video productions
for clients such as BlackBerry, The Home Depot, Oracle, and Symantec, while
his reputation has drawn video commissions from artists such as jazz legend
Bobby Previte and other notable musicians. Franzen's personal work has been
shown in public arenas and film festivals, and he has received awards and
grants from such organizations as the Iowa Arts Council, The Ford Foundation
and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Franzen recently directed,
produced and edited his debut feature length documentary Copyright
Criminals, a PBS broadcast which explores the complicated impact that
copyright law has had on the creative practices of hip-hop music.
